Question:
Is it fair that my stepmom refuses to give me permission to do anything?

Whenever I ask her if I can buy something or go out with my friends, she tells me to ask my dad. The only reason why I ask for her permission is because I know that my dad is going to say no, and I'm hoping for another answer from her, but she refuses to give it. Is this fair?

What you are doing is 'playing parents against each other' parents should work in unison for a child to be raised appropriately. If your stepmom consistently defers to your father, then that should tell you she is relying on his judgement to guide you.

I'm sorry that your father seems to not allow you to do anything, but you put your stepmother in a bad position by doing what you are doing.

I really don't know what to say about that because her and your dad might have their own agreement that you should ask him instead of her. I do feel that because shes your stepmother that you should be able to ask her for things, but then again, I don't know how long shes been your step mom and what her relationship with you is...shes probably just respecting what your father wants her to do.

It is called a united front. She has you ask your dad and she backs him on his decision. This is how parenting is SUPPOSED to work. Playing parents against each other only harms your parents relationship and that is completely unfair to them.

I believe both parents should agree with each other

Just become a s.l.u.t. and suck whatever someone slaps your face with.
