I've heard of inmates doing hunger strikes in prison. If parents love unconditionally, maybe this will work on them to raise my allowance

As a parent myself, no this would not work. I'd be like fine don't eat, see how far that gets you. You will eventually get hungry and wish to eat. Meanwhile I'm gonna carry on as normal and eat when it's meal time. All you deciding to not eat is gonna do is hurt you in the long run. Better to be sensible and eat properly, not eating will affect you physically and mentally, it won't have any affect on me as obviously I'm still gonna eat. So basically you need to stop acting like a spoilt brat.

Okay, your parents need to provide for you until age 18. However this applies to needs, not wants. You need shelter. You need food. But you do not need much else. Maybe clothes. But find a job and stop expecting your parents to provide you money. Allowances are not mandatory, start learning how to manage your money. A job is how you do that.

< If parents love unconditionally >
That depends on your age. Maybe up to the start of your teen years. During your teen years 82% of parents wished they had gotten an abortion.
< parents re LEGALLY REQUIRED to provide for me until I'm 18 >
I suspect your idea of what is required and their idea is very different and the law is pretty much silent on specifics.

If a disagreement or unresolved issue is causing unhealthy weight loss, than getting your child out of a dangerous situation is in the parents court. Kids that dig their heels in that way, don't see an alternative because they don't believe thier parents will listen or care. Understand the distinction, and danger, between frivolous arguments, and potentially lifethreatoning relationship problems that cannot be ignored. If your kid's health is at risk, than get those lines of communication open,ASAP. IT'S BETTER TOO TALK TOO A WILLFILL TEEN, THAN A HEADSTONE IN A CEMETERY.

That depends on the parent.
It wouldn't have worked on me and my daughters knew better than to even think about trying it.

I knew better than to take a stand for something I wanted. My parents wouldn’t respond to silly threats. Fine, they’d say, don’t eat. They knew I’d cave at some point. In the end, you’ve just embarrassed yourself.

If you try this with your folks, chances are good that you'll end up being dragged to the doctor, and put into therapy because of it. Hunger strikes don't get you anywhere, especially not over an issue like that one.

My teen tried a hunger strike to get a phone. She didn't eat for two days (I know better as I found candy wrappers). Not only did she NOT get a phone, she was grounded. She also complained about her first meal back to the table after her 'strike' so I made her leave the table. Next morning her breakfast was the leftover meal she complained about. Maybe instead of assuming the world owes you, you could pull your entitled little head out your a$$ and see how much your parents actually provide for you.

Option 2, less dramatic: Why don't you ask if there are extra chores you can do for more money?

Give it up, sonny! Parents aren't the least bit impressed by their kid's hunger strike. If their kid refuses to eat, that's fine with his parents - it's no skin off the parent's nose if he eats or if he doesn't.
Regardless of what you've heard, hunger strikes by inmates in prisons don't work either. Prison officials don't care if a prisoner eats the slop they throw at him, or if he doesn't. If a prisoner stages a hunger strike and it goes on long enough, prison officials will just put him in the Infirmary and force-feed him.

hunger strikes may work, but air strikes work better.
