this is tough.......I guess I'd have to grab all the medicines my husband takes. Not really my first choice but 100% needed and way too expensive to replace.

what you say about your photos is super important. Every one should make sure they share really special pictures or have back ups stored else where. I have almost no pictures of my daughters 1st year.We moved with most things stored in my in laws basement. A year later when I tried to get my things most of the photos were ruined. It still breaks my heart years later.

I'd say pictures, but I have so many albums and friends/family have copies of really important pictures, like from our wedding and baby pictures of the boys. I would grab my safe, it has all of our SS cards, birth certificates, some money, etc.

I agree with you. I would have to grab the photo albums. You can replace most things. But pictures say it all.

My laptop! It has all of the photos of my daughter archived since birth! I would rather lose the professional photos than lose al of our personal precious memories.

Our family photo albums. They have pictures from my husband and I in college, our wedding, and how our family has evolved. Completely irreplaceable. And I've conveniently stored copies of important family videos on disks that are actually in the photo album!

My purse which contains all my important documents, important flash drives, wallet, cell phone, and contact information. My pictures and important documents are all backed up online. I also have a set up backup information on the flash drive in my purse. All the other valuable stuff is in my fire safe, the rest can be easily replaced.

The small box in the closet that holds our most important financial documents, passports, ssn cards and birth certificates and jump drives that back up not only photos but tax returns as well.

I torment myself with this question quite often. I would grab my photo albums and baby books from my coffee table.

Such a horrid thought. Besides my fear of my kids choking, my house burning is my 2nd greatest fear.

i would have to grab my laptop, all our pics are on it, and most of the important info we need. my purse would more then likely be out in the jeep already since i leave it there half the time lol.

maybe because a bible can easily be replaced. there are a lot of things that cant.

If I had children, I'd grab something memorable of theirs. I still have toys from when I was little and they are very dear to me. Or if their grandparents had given them something special, I would grab that.

Since I don't have children, I would grab the painting that my grandfather did for me.

We have a small box that holds the only things we're truly sentimental about...the few things that the boys have from their pre-adoption days / biological families, important little tid-bits from the girls' mom, our wedding rings (which we don't wear), and a few other things that mark important aspects / turning points in our lives. Most else could be replaced or easily forgotten.

Probaby my purse. I'd have my checkbook, wallet, debit cards, cell and license.

I've got a lot of photos stored online, so I wouldn't go after the albums.

This happened. I grabbed my wedding ring and the phone (to call the fire dept, and the neighbor to say my kids are coming open the door).

My huge rubbermaid box of a gazzilion pictures of my children that I haven't done anything w/ b/c I'm a procrastinator and unorganized like that. (<---- having that problem would also be beneficial if your house was burglarized... they would never find what they wanted)
