Parents: Is this a good birthday gift for my mom?

My mom's birthday is coming up in 5 days; she's turning 54. I usually don't get her anything (since she feels bad that I have to spend money) but I want to get her something this year b/c I am going off to university and she's the best mom ever! (I usually make her breakfast and make her a homemade card).

I was thinking about purchasing this spa package for her. It lasts for 4 hr and 50 minutes and it's $495 (my dad, my sis and I will all pitch in). It's called "Great Escape" and it includes: Hot Stone Massage, Collagen Lifting Facial, Milk & Honey Body Wrap, Spa Lunch with Champagne, Signature Spa Pedicure and Signature Spa Manicure.

Is that a good amount of money for the package, or is it too expensive? I know nothing about spas and my mom has never been to one so I don't want to get ripped off.

Also, I'm going to make her a homemade card, breakfast in bed, and buy her a box of chocolates? Do you think she'll like my gifts? And also, is the spa thing too expensive or just the right price?

Thank-you! :)

That is an awesome, thoughtful gift for your mom! She is lucky to have such a loving family who appreciates her.

Shop around a bit, try to find the best price, just to make sure it's the best deal you can find...but, that sounds awesome. I hope my children, and husband, can think of something like that one day!
