what are your status updates like on facebook?

do you update everyday?


just on the topic of facebook and reading what people think is annoying which is pretty much everything, just wondering what you usually put as you status?

here are a few of mine, you probably are thinking.....oh she is one of those, lol. But my family likes to stay updated on my life and I am not one of those people with a 1000 friends, just the people I talk to mostly and a few odd people that need to be deleted.

Kaden helped me get the house all clean/ Ethan is having a nap and were taking a break/ going for a walk after lunch ♥ love my boys ♥

had a very lazy day with my boys, gonna go make some pizza with kaden for dinner and do some laundry.

I sometimes post quotes or a funny joke, I post maybe 3 times a week, sometimes more and sometimes I won't post anything for a month. Just curious :)

I talk about what I am teaching Emma in school that day

I talk about anything we are doing that I think is cool

I say funny things Emma as said

If someone is ill/sick and needs prayers I put that



I update every day, several times a day....but my family all lives far away and enjoys reading what we are doing.

Well it seems the question is about more than facebook status. Is it understood that you are indeed in an exclusive relationship, or has it just happened that way so far? If it's already established, then go ahead and change yours and hopefully he will follow suit. When I first got together with my bf, I first simply removed relationship status from my profile and he did the same, then a while later changed it to "In a relationship" and he did the same.

I definitely don't update it daily. I can have the same status up for weeks, I wouldn't care.



This week I've been repeat posting (every day) a link to a contest I entered my daughter in so my friends can vote for her.



Before that, I think my last post was, "Had to get my own gas today. What is the point of being married? And on that note, are you supposed to tip the full serve gas attendant? LOL" (My 'friends' on FB are all people I actually know, and who know me...they know the marriage comment was a joke.)

I almost never post where I am or where I'm planning to go. Not a good idea to let people know that your house is empty (or when it's going to be) & I never know how 'private' I'm set on facebook.



I'm more likely to post about something that I've already done, or a project I'm taking a break from at home. Or, something funny one of the kids said. Or, a news story that's on my mind & that I want to share/start a conversation about.

I post everyday. I was so addicted to facebook that I gave it up for 40 days. I have 12 more days and cannot wait to catch up on everything I've missed.

When I was on facebook regularly I posted stuff like "Baby is taking a nap and mommy is watching Teen Mom" or "I love my little girl so much! Can't imagine life without her". Almost all of my status' included my daughter or my mood.

I post something maybe 1-2 times a week. I enjoy reading other people's posts and seeing how dumb they sound lol. My last post was pictures of my 8 year old son's black eye from baseball practice a week ago. It's the 3rd time in his "baseball career" he's been injured and everyone always jokes about it. Luckily, none of the injuries have been serious and he insists on keep going out there and giving it his all.

I'll usually post something random daily. Quotes, funny/cute things my kids said, etc. For example, my last few status updates were:



"REALLY wishes this crazy weather would make its mind up. My sinuses have had enough of the roller coaster temps."



"So, I walk in the bathroom and find Mia brushing her teeth (which normally I'd be thrilled about), but I walk around the corner and the dog is standing next to her with toothpaste dripping/foaming from his mouth o_O That tooth brush is definitely going in the garbage lol!"



"Dear bed, I know I left you this morning but I love you. Take me back, please."

I don't post much at all. I mainly post pictures and videos for close friends/family to see. I update my location on my phone if I know someone wants to join me and I comment here and there.

Posted Monday: Free Rio movie screening to selected applicants. They have limited spots and appears to only be in major cities (Vancouver, Toronto, etc.).



Posted March 26th, 2011: Wyatt told me he found my "cat poopins"... It's all my fault for calling my coupons "coupins!". Hopefully our little talk cleared that miscommunication up.



Posted March 15th, 2011: Starting my veggie plants today. My poor dining room table is going to turn into a garden center soon enough. I'm thinking I need to stop procrastinating and put the shelf together. It's in the garage... it better not have any large hibernating spiders on it...bleh! - If there are any specific veggies you want for this year let me know.

I update it every day, most days... Usually more than once a day, because yes, I am lame, and I am bored.



My 3 most recent onces are:



"I have a very sweet dog that needs a new home. Please let me know if you are interested. Potty trained, well behaved, great personality, but 3 dogs is just too many for us right now. Will only send him to a wonderful home"



"Why does a bowl of cereal taste sooooo much better at night than it ever does in the morning?"



and "Mason just grabbed me by the ears and started shaking my head from side to side LOL"



What would be annoying to me about your statuses is that you put "♥ love my boys ♥" at the end of everything.

I haven't posted in the last six days. I haven't had anything to say. Normally they are coffee related, my son related and whatever else I feel. It's my FB page I can post how much I want, when I want, and say what I want. I've been reading the answers to people's questions, I think some of them are insanely ridiculous.



My statuses are:



Tiffany (bleep last name- it was a tag) is my new Zumba partner at work. I made her laugh by not doing some of the choreography on the tape.



heading home after Jarrett got to visit daddy on the lot for his lunch break. Jarrett got to see his auntie too.



the Coffee Bean is being occupied at the moment and is closed, so with my coffee addiction on the rise this morning I have result in nasty Starbucks coffee... this is so unfair!

I update once a week or so. I talk about what I've made for dinner, something funny my daughter has done or someplace we are going, or a good movie we've seen. I will post a video or a song. I try not to complain or be annoying.

I never post on Facebook come to think of it...when I do I try to post happy and encouraging things.



I'll put scripture or quotes up there. Sometimes lyrics or something the kiddos said.



If I post anything it's trivial stuff. I don't like the people who spill out their life stories through status updates. I don't want half of the people on there to know everything about my life anyways.

I post what I am doing / did for the day.. what new thing Aubree is doing. Anything that comes to mind really. I don't care who I annoy. If I annoy 'em that much, they can delete me or hide my posts. :-)



My current status is: Struggling to stay awakkeeee.

One before that (at 4something AM): Ive been up since 115am with Aubree. I am wondering if she is going to go back to sleep anytime soon. :\ How will I ever function on three hours of sleep?



Yeah. Last night was ROUGH! :\ She's 15 1/2 months and last night was worse than even some of her 'bad' newborn nights. This Momma is exhausted and ready to crash but the work day continues.....

"I miss getting out of the house to go to playgroups. Yes, taking Carson to playgroup each day was the biggest thrill of my day."



April 1st was the last time I updated before that. It was this:



"Damn you, pregnancy hormones! You just made me get choked up over a song about a seahorse on Treehouse."



Anybody that updates their statuses more than 3 times a day gets their updates hidden from my news feed. ;-)

Happy events, pregnancy milestones, cute things my child does..i try to post only happy things :) If im in a bad mood, i usually dont post because i hate when people air their dirty laundry for the world to see.

I post 1-2 status updates a week and I'd say 8 times out of 10 they're about Ari. I'm a braggart like that, so sue me. I also post random pics to my wall. Again 8 times out of 10 they're Ari. I have many relatives and friends on my Facebook who don't get to see her very often and I know they enjoy looking at that stuff. I get that there are people out there who don't care. I will keep on posting whatever I feel like sharing, they can keep being pointlessly annoyed by it and not a single crap will be given by me. lol
