Heaven & hell, is love enough?

I really love my girlfriend that I have been with for 5yrs. But,because of several things that has happend in our relationship I wonder about things. My ex wife put a wedge between my girlfriend and my youngest boy by slapping him in the face and telling my boy to tell C.P.S. that daddy's girlfriend did it. If he didn't tell them that she did it he was gonna get it again. My boy was only 5 yrs old when this happend but, my girlfriend has never been able to forgive him for lying to CPS because she feels that it put her own custody of her son in jepordy and could have lost custody. My son does have some issues but, only because of his mother being the root cause. My older son knows how she is and is waiting to be old enough so he can live with me but, my girlfriend still does not accept him enough to live with us if I ever got custody of him. I love her so much but wonder if this relationship will last thanks to my ex wife. I know that kids come first but girlfriend will not change view.

Oh hunny. What a rock and a hard place. I feel for ya. I recommend praying when you dont know what to do. I will pray for ya too. Something else I do know from experience is that time is a great healer and time has a way of smoothing out the kinks. Often patience and longsuffering are cures. I mean what if poor Romeo had waited just a moment more, trusted God just a little bit. Then he would not have killed himself and she would have awoke to see him before her and what a different story that owuld have been! Trust god and be the best Father you can be. In the end your Girlfriend will accept that and be a part of it....or your love will fade, I know it will, and someone more suitable and fitting will come along to help you with this task. i think u shouls sit sown with your girl and tell her that she needs to work on forgiving your son because a 5 year old will almost always do what his mom tells him either for fear or love. She shouldnt blame him. and if she is a good mom then there was no real threat from social services because they can analyze it very easy
