What age did you let your daughter get a french manicure?

my daugters been begging me and i don't know if shes old enough what do you think? P.S. shes 12 going on 13 in dec.

I agree with "Richards_gurl". It'd probably only be a reward type thing, because I know from experience that a lot of young children will get these manicures & don't keep up with them. Also, a lot of them start to look & act grown because of materialistic stuff. If she proves she is responsible, then I may let her get one once she turns 14, but it won't be that often. That is considered a luxury and if it's my money then she can't dictate. BUT if it was her own money then i suppose it'd be okay for her start getting them once she's 14.

I got my first manicure at 11 or 12. I don't think it's a big deal, girls start painting their nails when they are little. And my first manicure was a lot of fun, I did it with an older cousin who I never got to see. I think it's fine letting your daughter do it. Just make it into a special experiance not a weekly thing. Or if you're still against it buy her nail polish and help her do it.

I think that even though there is no sin in a french manicure,she is not old enough.The row of petitions begin with something simple. if you let her with the first, it is going to be difficult to stop later.Manicure, make-up, going out at night, staying out late etc.

A French maincure is only nail polish. My 10 and 12 year old granddaughters get them on their natural nails and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I wouldn't agree to false nails tho.

When she can pay for it without my help. your daughter is at an age where "everybody's doing it!" You have to make that judgement call. Ask yourself a couple of questions. Is she responsible enough to take care of these nails? Will it lead to things you dont even want to think about?

I AM 13, I GOT MY FIRST FRENCH WEN I WAS 8..SO YES I THINK IT IS AN APROPIATE AGE....YOUR DAUGHTER IS EXPIREMENTING! SHE PROBABLY WANTS TO START TO "GROW UP" I JUST GOT FAKE ONES PUT ONE, AND I WOULDNT RECOMEND THEM FOR YIUR DAUGHTER!! THEY HURT LIKE____!!!!
