Single mom in Hou. TX & need info on low income childcare like neighborhood center. Who do I need to call?

I live in Houston, TX. I just had a baby girl and am getting ready to go back to work, however I cannot afford daycare. A friend of mine was telling me about a government program called "neighborhood center" that assisted low income families with child care cost. I can't find any info on this anywhere on the web. Does anyone know who I need to contact for more information?

call your puplic aid center or a W.I.C center they should be able to help you.
