1- a 5. My house tends to be cluttered, but not usually disgusting.

#2- a 3. Clutter is rampant at my house.

#3- a 7. I don't like people to think that we live like slobs all the time. I at least try to get rid of the clutter (temporarily) and run the vacuum cleaner, even if I don't dust and mop floors. I would *like* to be able to do a major cleaning before any guests come over, but for close friends I just don't get around to it.

___

1- I do wish I was better at keeping my house clean. I LOVE when I come home to a clean house, and I usually try to keep it clean, but I'll get in a rush and leave ONE thing on the dining room table and it is ALL downhill from there!

2- I clean up the big stuff. I only dust, do windows, floors and sinks when company is coming over. I hate doing the details.

3- ORGANIZE- have a place for everything. My problem tends to be stuff that doesn't really have a definite place- it just gets left where it is. The stuff that I KNOW where it goes gets put away.

Ok...well I am a stay at home Mom of 2 ages 5 & 7. I guess I consider myself quite clean. Is my house sparkling everyday...NO. But it is clean. Yes, I do make sure my house is clean from top to bottom when I have company over. Heck, I even clean for my children's play dates when the parents don't even come in the door :)

I am not a organized person...I do put things "away" somewhere when I will "get to them later" but eventually I do get to them. My closets should be more organized. A trick that I do is every so many months....well maybe closer to once a year...LOL...I will do a "drawer dump" in each of the bedrooms to get rid of all the old and too small clothes. Then I put them in plastic bins to "go through later" Just sold my son's 3t clothes on Ebay for a cool $160....but remember he is now 7. LMAO! I need to get into that attic soon! Lots of good $$$ up there!

I could never go to bed with dishes in my sink, and I would freak if I had any type of bugs in my home. I think most people view me as clean. I always do clean up the house before I go to bed and now I make my children responsible for cleaning up their own rooms and whatever they play with. That helps a lot!!!!!!

If you do a quick tidy up before bed, then you will be good to go. As far as the laundry....my best tip is to get a rolling bin that has 3 sections, that way you just separate the clothes as soon as they go in the bin and then do a load when you have enough. I hate separating the clothes...you never know how much laundry you really have! This is what I use in my laundry room: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Whitmor-Supreme-3-Section-Chrome-Frame-Laundry-Sorter/6023201 LOVE it!!

Once you get into a routine, you will find it much easier to keep up with it. One trick I do do is that I make sure to clean at least one room a day...dusting that is and getting rid of anything that doesn't belong. There really aren't that many rooms in any average house....so it isn't that hard to do and it only takes at most 10 mins to do.

My friend leaves her house "as is" and OMG I would freak out. I don't want anyone seeing my "dirty laundry" :) I do take great pride in my home....but it isn't perfect all the time by any means! Take care!

I have a very clean and neat downstairs but my bedroom gets messy and cluttered at times. My tips for you would be:

1. Keep the kitchen spotless. Wash dishes right away, clean up spills, throw away garbage etc. Do not leave the house or go to bed with it messy.

2. Do not leave clutter out anywhere. Find a place for everything to be put away. If your house is uncluttered it is easy to quick vacuum and clean bathrooms when folks come over.

3. Do a quick pick up before bed of everything, just spend literally 15 minutes go through every room and pick it all up and put it away.

4. Then let yourself have one room (mine is my bedroom) where you don't worry so much..

(I have ADHD and find being organized is hard. But it's easier to keep a house clean than to reclean it everytime! When I take my adhd meds I am a cleaning machine though!)

Well....my house is a little more clean then usual, as I'm 37 weeks pregnant and let's just say nesting has certainly kicked in ;)

1) 8. I manage to keep it pretty clean-I'm a bit of a neat freak, I don't like my house to get too messy.

2) 9. I'm very organized with things. We have tons of bins/organizers everywhere!

3) eh....8. I try to clean up as much as possible when we have company coming over. BUT with three kids, it's kind of hard to keep it that way ;)

1) Sometimes, I wish I did better. But, I actually think I do okay. For having 3 kids run around, I manage to keep my house pretty clean.

2) Pretty good. I'm staying at home right now with my 3 children(ages 9,6 and 3) and though I'm heavily pregnant..... I try to stick w/ the cleaning ;)

2. I'm too busy to really get into that ****, so long as there ain't bugs and rats and it smells ok in here I'm fine.

3. Get your kids involved in helping you keep the house clean.

1. I would say between a 5 and 6. We do have roaches and ants. The roaches were there since we moved in and we try to keep things organized and neat. We are NOT pack rats.

2. Maybe a 7 I HATE a messy and unorganized house. I don't keep things we don't need or use neither does my hubby.

3. 8, I don't scoar but I definity have the house picked up and looking nice.

1. Yes I wish I was but I can be lazy. The floor doesn't get vacuumed as much as it should

2. I keep the dishes done and things put in a certain place. There's not really that much to do

3. To a newbie, Don't try to do everything in one day. I vacuum once a week and clean the toilet....when I remember. (I hate touching it it's SOOO gross I make my hubby do it) But things still look ok.

1- I'd say an 8 or 9. I cannot stand gross (meaning bugs, smells, ickiness, etc.), so my house is usually always clean. I vacuum daily (or at least every other day) because I don't want to risk getting ants, etc. and with a toddler, I know there is stuff around. I can't stand a dirty kitchen or bathroom.

2- Ha, probably a 4! Now, I said I can't stand gross, LoL - messiness I can live with! My house is clean, but has stuff all over (meaning toddler toys, tupperware my toddler has taken out, etc.). I can handle the pile of clothes my husband leaves on the floor (they're his "clean" clothes he's going to wear again - I just throw them in the wash, LoL, but maybe he does wear them again?). Also, we're moving, so I have boxes and all around that I'm packing up, so this is something I don't have a choice about.

3- 6 here. I do tidy up like mad, try to organize all these stupid moving boxes, throw stuff my son has taken out of the cupboards back in, and such, but I don't really have any cleaning to do since I'm pretty particular about that. It's just tidying up the messiness, not taking care of dirtiness.

1- Yes, I do wish I was better at it. :o) I like that I've got part of my routine down though, just need to work on the tidiness now (not the cleanliness).

2- I love Clorox wipes, so I disinfect regularly. I swear I should buy stock in them, LoL. I have a specific place for everything, but I just need to get it there.

3- I do laundry daily (at least one load) and I put it away THAT day. I find that is a huuuge help and makes a huuuge difference in the clutter. Dishes are done after every meal; rarely are they ever left in the sink. Trying to train the husband to find the dishwasher too, LoL!

Neat question, by the way. :o) I enjoyed it!

I'll take a pic and post it for you. Keep in mind that I will tidy a bit before I go to bed. (this will be a little embarrassing)

The dining room table has goldfish crumbs all over it and an unfinished Toy Story puzzle. There is also a new dryer in the corner of my dining room that my husband is planning to install. (it has been there 2 days so far)
