A mother who appeared on an episode of 'Dr Phil' in which she forced one of her sons to swallow hot sauce and stand in a cold shower to discipline him has been charged with child abuse.



The episode showed Beagley, 36, forcing her son to swish Tapatio hot sauce in his mouth as she shouted at him. She then makes him stand in a cold shower and shouts at him again as he cries.

Of course it is child abuse. The woman made him put HOT sauce in his mouth. Okay, yeah it's not beating, but the thought of putting something hot on a child's tongue as punishment sounds awful. And the cold shower? Actually letting them stand there in the cold? Yes, that is abuse.

If it causes physical pain, then it's child abuse. If it causes severe emotional pain, that I'd say it's child abuse too.
