What good books have you parents read lately? It's been ages since I read a book that I just *couldn't* put down. Any suggestions?

I agree with Charm... I absolutely love the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. When I read the first one last year I went out and bought the rest of the series. I enjoy pretty much anything by Stephanie Tyler, Lisa Jackson and Linda Howard. Last month I read a book titled "Bad Mother" by Aylette Waldman. It was about what she has done as a parent and why a lot of other mothers think she is a bad parent. It's a good book, and I couldn't put it down, even though I didn't agree with a lot of what she said and did.
Let me know if you come across any really good books. I love to read and I buy 2-3 books a week, so I'm always on the lookout for something good.

The last few books I've read were The Time Traveler's Wife, which I didn't think I'd like but wound up loving, and On Agate Hill, which I picked up bargain binned for $5 and enjoyed. Though mostly I read mysteries.

The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I discovered her on a chance books on tape pick up at the library, and immediately bought every single one. Smart with a sense of humour, and I fell in love with a fictional character. Start with One For the Money, and finish with Finger Lickin' Fifteen.
And for a good romcom, anything by Gemma Townley.

My favourite book series at the moment is The House Of Night series.
I think it's got 6 books to the series now. Pretty good books!

I really really really liked The Help by Kathryn Stockett
And for the person that gave The Lovely Bones a thumbs down, I liked it so much I read it in 2 days.

I'm almost finished reading Shelter Island...I haven't been able to put it down. It's a mixture of crime mystery and psychological thriller. It's being made into a movie so I thought I'd read it first and it's been a pleasant surprise.

While not remotely educational or controversial I love the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler. I read them cover to cover in one sitting, if possible. It's like Indiana Jones meets James Bond. Love them. They're not new, and they're not difficult...but they're fun.

I just read "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Kind of like Marley and Me, but written from the dog's perspective. It was so good I finished it in 2 days!!
